Home is where the heart is.

The festive period is always a good branding opportunity for companies and corporations. Over the years we’ve came to be familiar with festive short films made by well-known brands as their way of celebrating the festive period as well as sending their wishes to those celebrating it. In 2022, we had the opportunity to produce a Chinese New Year short film for Revoll Realty, an emerging real estate agency based in Kuala Lumpur. Every story has a core message. While developing the story for Revoll’s CNY short film, one of the prevalent themes that came to mind is “Home”. For the past 2 years, many were unable to head home to their families due to various lockdowns and movement restriction orders, resulting in families being apart and not being able to physically see each other for an extended period of time. Coupled with Revoll Realty being a real estate agency who sells “homes” to people, we figured that a story that focuses on “home” would both be representative of Revoll and relatable to the general audiences at the same time. The result? A touching story of a hardworking agent enduring the hardships of life, only to find out that home is where the heart is.

Project Outcome

Revoll Realty connects people with the warmth of their home and families.

In linking the prevalent themes of “home” and “family” this Chinese New Year together with what they sell – homes, we saw a significant increase in traffic to Revoll Realty’s Facebook page, with the short film gaining more than 19,000 views and over 100 likes in the process. By featuring their agents as the casts for the short film, we have also increased their exposure and made them recognizable faces in the industry.
